Years ago, I set out to build my own forever home. I was resourceful and motivated, but I made costly mistakes because I rushed ahead and underestimated how much groundwork was needed during the planning phases.
 

I learned the hard way that the true foundation of a legacy home starts long before sketching a floor plan—it starts with intention, planning, and alignment between your long-term goals, the land, and the systems you’ll rely on for years to come.
 

Now, after over a decade of designing custom homes with natural materials like bamboo, strawbale, and earth blocks across diverse climates, using passive techniques, I’ve distilled what actually matters into a tried and true process. This program is what I wish I had when I started.
